Welcome to a Space for Corporate Natives and Allies

Hi, I’m Dean, and I’m so glad you’re here. For over 13 years, I’ve worked with a major U.S. financial institution, where I helped establish and grow our Indigenous Peoples Employee Resource Group to nearly 2,000 members—most of whom were allies. That experience was transformative. It not only deepened my connection to my own identity but also opened my eyes to the unique challenges we face as Corporate Natives navigating workplace environments where we are often underrepresented.

Corporate Natives like us bring valuable perspectives to the table, yet we frequently encounter challenges that others may not—microaggressions, questions of identity, and a lack of mentors with shared experiences. Inspired by the work of building a community through the ERG, I’ve envisioned a broader space for Indigenous professionals and our allies. This is that space—a place where we can connect, learn, and support each other in fostering inclusivity and driving meaningful change in our workplaces.
